Gus Geyer (a.k.a. Colonel Comet, husband)

HISTORY:
It's unknown who Celeste Noble was before she legally had her name changed to "Celeste," and began a career in super-heroics. It's public knowledge that she came from a poor family, and was rather unattractive. But she didn't let her lot in life get her down, and instead focused herself on finding ways to improve it.

While it is unknown where she got the money for such procedures, in her late teens, Celeste underwent various plastic surgeries (everything from a nose job to liposuction to breast augmentation).

In her early 20s, she volunteered her body to the scientists at the prestigious Winterbourne Institute, who succeeded in turning her into a stellar energy battery. She then hired a top-flight law firm that found a loophole in her contract with the think-tank, enabling her to leave their supervision.

Once she possessed both beauty and super-powers, she formally launched her career as a super-hero. Instead of affiliating herself with one of the federally funded MegaForce units, she became an independent operator, and built up quite a reputation for herself - both as a hero, and as someone who liked the good life.

As her star rose, Celeste acquired a personal manager, who helped her properly market herself as a media sensation. It was through this manager that she met Rusty Noble. The two attended a fund raiser together, and they immediately hit it off - which was Celeste's plan from the start. Within a year, they were married, amidst public speculation as to whether Celeste was just entering into this marriage for the status it brought her.

The Noble family - particularly Gaia - embraced Celeste, and before long, she met their deep, dark secret: Frost, Rusty's illegitimate half-brother. After a fight with Rusty over their public appearances, Celeste sought Frost out, and seduced him as a way of lashing out against Rusty. The two carried on an affair, and Frost came to believe Celeste truly cared about him. But her feelings weren't as cut-and-dried as Frost thought, which he learned when Rusty was nearly killed, and Celeste's devotion to him during his rehabilitation seemed genuine.

Rusty eventually learned of Celeste's affair, and he broke off their relationship. Celeste filed for divorce, but remained a closely affiliated with the Noble family. Shortly after her divorce from Rusty, Celeste met Dawn Blackthorne, daughter of the villainous Hunter Blackthorne, an old enemy of the Noble family. The two became friends, and Dawn soon made it apparent she was interested in Celeste in a romantic sense. Celeste had never considered herself gay or bi-sexual, but she couldn't deny the attraction she felt to Dawn, and the two began an affair, which they kept secret from both of their families.

Celeste was reluctant to break things off completely with Frost, which was a constant source of irritation to Dawn. Eventually, Dawn forced Celeste's hand, and Celeste told the Nobles about her relationship with Dawn. Around this time, Dawn's mother, Kitty Blackthorne, was losing control of her powers. She was transforming into her animal form against her will, and prowling the city. Celeste happened upon her one evening, and after a skirmish, Kitty reverted back to her human self just long enough to beg Celeste to end her suffering. Celeste obliged, and killed Kitty. Dawn arrived just in time to witness this. Celeste tried to explain, but Dawn could not accept that her mother wanted to die, and she ended her relationship with Celeste.

At some point over the past 5 years, Celeste met and married Gus Geyer, formerly the super-hero known as Colonel Comet. Gus (or "The Colonel," as he prefers to be called) is many years Celeste's senior. The specifics of their courtship and the basis for their relationship remains to be seen.

Celeste remains attached to the Noble family, and serves as the head of Noble Industries, the family's humanitarian organization. She and The Colonel live full-time on Noble Island.

KNOWN SUPERHUMAN POWERS:
Celeste's body gives off undetermined amounts of stellar energy, which she can channel into flight, light, and destructive blasts.

SKILLS:
Celeste is a keen student of human nature, allowing her to manipulate most people into behaving the way she wants them to. She's also an excellent dancer, and knows which fork to use at any meal.
