HISTORY:
Surge is the son of Olympia Noble, who at some point in the past five years, married world-famous super-hero Doc Noble. Surge and Minutiae have been formally adopted by Doc, and have taken his last name. The identity and current status of Surge and Minutiae's real father is unknown.

Surge is a hotheaded teenager, and frequently clashes with authority figures - namely, Doc. He's currently dating Amy Wells, a college student who possesses no super-powers. How they met remains unrevealed.

KNOWN SUPERHUMAN POWERS:
Surge's body generates massive amounts of an unknown form of bio-energy, which he can release in destructive blasts. He has little control over these blasts, as they manifest themselves in large bursts rather than precise beams. It appears that Surge must discharge this energy after a certain amount of build-up, whether he wants to or not.
