HISTORY:
Zephyr is the youngest child of Doc and Gaia Noble. She grew up very much in the public spotlight, even more so than Rusty and Race, since the family had become full-blown media sensations by the time Zephyr was born. This fact was painfully evident when Zephyr was kidnapped as a small child, by an enemy of the Nobles. After a few tense days, the Nobles were able to rescue her, and she has suffered no ill effects - save the fact that she can't remember anything about the ordeal.
Zephyr proved to be able to handle the pressures of fame better than her brothers. She readily and eagerly attended as many public functions as she could, and was delighted to have such an influence on girls' fashion.
Once she was old enough to date, Zephyr seemed to have no shortage of boyfriends, and the turnover was rapid. She was always dating the latest "It Boy" - whichever young male celebrity had the highest profile at that point in time. But while the public naturally assumed these relationships were intimate (a belief Zephyr was never quick to dispel), Zephyr was a surprisingly chaste teenage girl.
In the past year, Zephyr has continually struggled to assert her independence from the rest of the family, an effort which cumulated when she was denied permission to attend a public function she was looking forward to. As a way of getting back at her parents, she sought out Draconis (the Noble family's greatest enemy), and seduced him (or, let him seduce her, depending on who you ask). Regardless, the result was the same: Zephyr found herself pregnant with Draconis' child. She tried to keep this fact from her family for as long as she could, but when she was attacked by Icarus, the family's murderous robot, the attending physician revealed her secret.
No one was more devastated by this news than Draconis' son Krennick, who was a close friend of Zephyr's, but secretly wished they were much more. For a time, Krennick and Zephyr even allowed the public (and Zephyr's family) to believe he was the father of her child, not Draconis.
Zephyr gave birth to her child, but was told by the doctor that the child did not survive. Unbeknownst to her, the doctor had been bribed by Necrona (the daughter of Draconis) to steal the child. To this day, Zephyr believes the child to be deceased, and is unaware that Necrona is raising him as her own son.
Approximately five years ago, Zephyr grew tired of constantly being under the public spotlight, and split from her family. With the help of her friend, Detective Ryan O'Mega, she adopted a secret civilian identity and lived as normal a life as she could. She befriended a young man named Bobby, who lived in her building. She soon learned that Bobby was secretly Slate Blackthorne, a member of the villainous Blackthorne family, and that his situation was similar to Zephyr's (in that both were trying to distance themselves from their respective families). Slate and Zephyr began to date, and at some point over the past five years, they were wed.
Zephyr is currently an active member of the Noble family, and has grown into a confident, dependable heroine.
KNOWN SUPERHUMAN POWERS:
Zephyr possesses the ability to manipulate air currents. She can create hurricane-force winds, or just a gentle breeze. By using her powers to create a focused thrust beneath her Zephyr can, in effect, fly, and often uses her powers to float a foot or two off of the ground.
SKILLS:
Zephyr is a skilled ballerina and gymnast, which gives her amazing grace and maneuverability in the air.
