I write comic books and TV.
I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania, and lived a good chunk of my adult life in the Seattle area. Now I live in Burbank with my awesome wife and spoiled cat.
I first started writing comics in 1998, when I sold a story to Marvel's WHAT IF...? The book had already been cancelled, so they let me write the last issue. What harm could I do? That led to a fill-in gig on GENERATION X, which led to me taking over that series as the regular writer. I worked steadily at Marvel and DC for a few years before I got the itch to stretch myself creatively and have more control over what I was writing, so I pitched a new super-hero series to Image Comics. That series was called NOBLE CAUSES, and it ran for eight years.
Since then, I've been working steadily at Image, creating and writing such books as DYNAMO 5, NEAR DEATH, and POINT OF IMPACT.
In the last few years I've branched out again, this time into television. For the 2011-12 season, I was on the writing staff of RINGER. And for the 2013-14 season I was on staff on STAR-CROSSED. In between I wrote a couple episodes of MARVEL'S AVENGERS ASSEMBLE cartoon.
